All appointments are booked for an hour to give sufficient time to answer and discuss any questions.
Are you worried about the possible side effects, when your baby comes for his/her first vaccine appointment?
The most common side effects after vaccination are mild.
They include:
- Pain, swelling, or redness where the shot was given
- Mild fever
- Feeling tired
Keep in mind that most common side effects are a sign that your baby’s body is starting to build immunity (protection) against a disease.
How to relieve any discomfort when your baby has any of these side effects:
- Use a damp cloth to help reduce redness, soreness and/or swelling at the place where the shot was given.
- Feed your baby on demand. Some babies want to drink more frequently for comfort during this time.
- Give your baby an over the counter pain reliever for fever, such as Paracetamol, unless your baby has any specific contraindication.
